Found in the Kaylor System, Meltan is the planet of many volcanoes. The Kaylor System is located in the remote western sector of the Funziee Universe. Meltan being the only planet that's inhabited in that system.
Meltan is a jovian sized planet. It's year consists of 758 days. There are 36 hours in a day. This is not a planet that has any economical power whatsoever in the Funziee Universe. There is no trade from this planet. It's inhabitants are self-sufficient.
The surface of Meltan is uninhabitable. Its surface is dotted with many active volcanoes. The air is hazardous to breathe. All life forms are subterranean.
Meltan has all four seasons but each are extreme and violent. There is very little atmosphere here and the surface is prone to asteroid strikes. Meltan has a heavy gravitational pull.
Ground tremors are regular here and usually indicate there's going to be an eruption. New volcanoes are born every day.
Water found underground is fresh enough for consumption, that grow plant life and harbor aquatic life that the Meltz hunt. Some of the plant life is carnivorous.
Tribal forms of government. The tribe Alan is from is called, Xon. The House of Zie-balli is the ruling family of the Xon tribe.
The Zie-balli tribe is located in the northwestern territory of Meltan, in an area that has less volcanic activity than other places.
" Tribes inhabit dried up magma chambers. Access to these chambers from the outside is through large tubes. Access tubes to the underworld dot the Meltz landscape like the volcanoes do.
Tribes are very hostile toward other tribes, and they are very territorial. They are also hostile towards outsiders. Only selected members are allowed to speak with off worlders. It's definitely a male dominated society. Females having very few freedoms.
A true Meltz is a highly advanced, amphibious, bipedal, tailless lizard-like creature with red eyes and a yellow strip of fur on the top of their head and ears. They walk upright with bended knees. But the bend is not as pronounced as that of the Berrillings of Beryl. Great swimmers as well as climbers the Meltz are. They love to spelunk and run.
Just because they are non-human doesn't mean they aren't technologically advanced. Some even venturing away from their tribe into the life of space.
The heavy gravitational pull makes those who do travel to other places, fast and strong.
